2022 AGM Announced

The Floorball New Zealand (FNZ) Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Saturday 5 November. The meeting will be held online again this year, please email contact@floorball.org.nz for the link.

Committee Members Election:
As per the FNZ constitution, two of the roles of president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer are elected in alternating years. This year we are electing the president and treasurer. Any person who is a member of a member club that is also a full financial member of FNZ can put forward a nomination. Nominations need to be received 5 days prior to the meeting (Tuesday 1 November) via email to contact@floorball.org.nz. A reminder for people who are interested in a FNZ Committee role, we are looking for nominations for president and treasurer. A brief outline of the roles are;

President:

The president is the heart of the committee and chairs regular meetings. The President ensures that there is a clear vision and strategic direction for FNZ and that the strategic objectives of the organisation are in line with the objects defined in the constitution. They are responsible for regularly reviewing progress toward the achievement of objectives.

Treasurer:

The treasurer is the cheif financial officer of Floorball New Zealand. This role is responsible for; maintaining the organisation's financial records, overseeing grant applications, ensuring grant funding is used appropriately, budgeting for the national teams programme, and presenting the annual financial report. An ideal candidate for this role will have experience in financial management.

Additional Commitee Roles:

Alongside these, FNZ is required to fill specific roles to develop floorball in New Zealand annual. It is not expected that members will fill these roles alone, but that they will form sub committees that will help. The roles we are looking for are;

  • Club Liaison,

  • National Teams Development Officer

  • Communications and Sports Development

  • Competitions Manager.
