Jan is studying towards a Masters in Physical Education and Sport. He played in the Czech Super League for four years as a player and is the captain of SKV.

Floorball New Zealand AGM 2023
The 2023 Floorball New Zealand Anual General Meeting will be held alongside the 2023 Wellington Floorball Open on Saturday the 23rd of September at 7pm. Regularly we would hold this meeting in line with the National Championships but these have been cancelled for 2023.
All clubs, Floorball New Zealand members, and interested parties are invited to attend.
In accordance with the constitution, the two core committee roles of vice president and treasurer are up for election this biannual rotation. The position of president, which was unfilled at the 2022 AGM, is also up for election out of cycle. Additionally all non-core committee roles are open for election to a one year term. These include; communications and social media, national teams manager, competitions coordinatior, and club liaison officer.

This is the second training weekend of the 2023-24 Men’s WFCQ Campaign. This training weekend is open to all and will also serve as an opportunity for player seeking development.
The details of the weekend are as follows:
Saturday 19th August 9.00am -12.00pm and 1.00pm - 3.00pm, Ara Institute of Canterbury
Sunday 20th August 9.00am -12.00pm and 1.00pm - 3.00pm, St Andrews College
The costs are:
$50 for FNZ licensed players for the weekend
$75 for unlicensed for the weekend

Leonnhardt 3v3 Cup
This annual 3v3 tournament brings 12 teams of 6-7 players together from around the Wellington region for a full day of floorball action.
Players are encouraged to get their friends together to form a team, bring bakery donations, and have a great time. The tournament usual runs with an A and B grade depending on the participants.
Southern Lakers Open
A tournament held in the beautiful Southern Lakes region of New Zealand annually by the Southern Lakers Floorball Club. This tournament is always a blast and certainly one to put on your calendar!

U19 Women’s Development Weekend
U19 Women’s national team coach will be running a development weekend for young women born 1.1.2005-30.6.2009. This is the first of several open weekends before a final squad will be selected for the World Floorball Cup next year. We encourage all eligible players to attend. U19 Women’s Information Session
Alongside the Secondary Schools National Chamionships on April 2nd, U19 Women’s national team coach Jane Bertschinger will hold an information session about upcoming development weekends for young women (1.1.2005-30.6.2023) interested in improving or working towards representing New Zealand.

New Zealand Secondary Schools Championships
The New Zealand Secondary Schools Championships return for 2023 on April 1st and 2nd. Teams from across the country will get together at the Ākau Tangi Sports Center in Wellington to compete in Senior Boys, Senior Girls, Senior Mixed, U15/Junior Boys, and U15/Junior Girls categories.

Men’s Development Weekend
NZ men's head coach Andre Ballantyne will be leading a training weekend in Wellington from Februrary 17th-19th with a focus on the skills foundation for upcoming Men's national team events. Players will be expected to work on these skills individually and in club contexts throughout the year. Overall, the weekend will give players an opportunity to become familiar with essential skills, the coach's expectations, and each other.
U19 Men's head coach Bradley Sommerville will assist Andre so we encourage players 15-18, who will be eligible for the next U19 Men's team to attend as well.

2022 U19 Men’s WFCQ
After Singapore’s withdrawl from hosting the 2022 U19 men’s qualifiers, the IFF and AOFC have now confirmed that Floorball New Zealand’s bid to host has been accepted. The qualification event will be held in Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) from September 29th to October 1st, 2022. Besides New Zealand, Australia and Singapore are expected to attend with this being Singapore’s first U19 Men’s event. Each team will play one another once and the top two out of the three teams will qualify for the 2023 U19 WFC in Frederikshavn, Denmark.
This marks the second time Wellington has hosted the Men’s U19 WFCQ and the first IFF event that New Zealand has hosted since the 2017 Women’s WFCQ after the 2022 U19 Women’s WFC fell through due to Covid. Opportunities to volunteer for the event in a variety of capacities will be made available shortly. We look forward to an exciting tournament!

U19 Women's WFC 2022
The Women’s U19 WFC 2022 will be played in Katowice, Poland with 16 teams divided into four groups. They will play group matches followed by play-off and placement games. The 16 teams have been decided according to results from U19 WFC 2020 as well as regional qualifications held in September 2021: U19 WFCQ 2022.

Hamilton Floorball Open 2022
