Women’s Coaches Appointed

We are pleased to announce that Jon To has been selected as coach of the women's national team which will compete for the WFC qualification next year. Jon brings considerable experience to the role. He has played and trained internationally, has coached domestically, and is a veteran player for the men's national team. Beyond floorball, he also has the leadership skills to develop a mentally and physically strong team.

Jon will be supported in his role by Jordan Boyle as assistant coach. Like Jon, Jordan comes to this position after the recent men’s campaign where he was team captain. Jordan’s leadership skills as a captain and in his professional life, as well as his successful return from a serious sporting injury, inform the understanding and supportive approach he will take to his role as he encourages players to be resilient and achieve their personal goals.

Floorball New Zealand is excited to see how these coaches will guide our women for the next WFC campaign and beyond. Overall, Jon comes to the position of head coach with a positive outlook for the upcoming campaign and a progressive development model for the women's game in New Zealand.

The next step will be for the team to be selected, player expressions of interest remain open until August 26th. Please register your interest in the following form: https://forms.gle/dAHM3nzn8qd1J7Sp8
