U19 Women’s Coach Expressions of Interest Now Open

We are pleased to announce the opening of expressions of interest for head coach of the New Zealand U19 Women’s team. Coming off the back of our best performance at the World Floorball Cup we are keen to continue the development of our U19 Women in advance of the next world cup campaign.

Qualifications for the next world cup are expected to take place in September 2023 if necessary and the world cup itself will be held in Lahti, Finland from May 1st-5th, 2024. As is now standard across our coaches, this position will be appointed for a set 2-year term and the appointed coach should be prepared to commit time to player development and scouting across this term. Coaches are also expected to promote a national coaching dialogue with national team and club coaches to strengthen out collective knowledge.

A full job description is available here and more information about the team and the role is available here. Applications should be submitted by December 20th at 7pm.

An expression of interest should include a rough development plan for the candidate’s tenure and a cover letter introducing the candidate. The cover letter should list any relevant qualifications or experience and outline the candidate’s vision for the team. A good expression of interest will also address some points of the job description. If the candidate intends to bring specific assistants to their position, please also include a brief profile of each of these people. Candidates must also submit a police check for themselves and any assistants as part of their application.

Applications will be considered by a panel appointed by the Floorball New Zealand general committee. The panel will consider each application and may request an interview with specific candidates. The panel will refer a candidate to the general committee for final approval.

Please send your expression of interest to contact@floorball.org.nz and it will be forwarded on to our national teams manager.
