Men’s Team Aims For Qualifiers!
Following the appointment of a new head coach and the opening of expressions of interest, the campaign for the 2022 Men’s World Floorball Cup is officially underway. We are building towards the World Championships Qualifiers in Singapore from 30th May - 5th June!
The Coach
Floorball New Zealand would like to congratulate Andre Ballantyne for his appointment to the role of head coach for the upcoming campaign. Andre brings a great deal of floorball experience with him. He has trained with players from clubs in 17 different countries, played against some of the world's best, and will bring fresh ideas to our game.
In addition to his floorball experience, Andre’s professional career also provides a strong foundation for the team. His work involves focusing large groups of people with diverse skill sets on the execution of common strategies, and this will be the guiding principle for his team.
The Players
Expressions of interest are open for trials and the first training weekend has been scheduled. This will be 18th-20th of March in Wellington. Everyone who is interested in trialing for the NZ men's team is encouraged to attend.
Weekend Details:
18th March 8pm -9.30pm ASB Sports Centre
19th March 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm ASB Sports Centre
20th March 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm Wellington East Girls College Gym
Costs:
$50 for licensed players, $75 for unlicensed.
Payment should be made to Floorball New Zealand.
