Men’s Coach Expressions of Interest Now Open
We are pleased to announce the opening of expressions of interest for head coach of the New Zealand Men’s national team.
Qualifications for the next World Floorball Cup are expected to take place in early 2026 and the world cup itself will be held in Tampere, Finland in December 2026. As is now standard across our coaches, this position will be appointed for a set 2-year term and the appointed coach should be prepared to commit time to player development and scouting across this term. Coaches are also expected to promote a national coaching dialogue with national team and club coaches to strengthen out collective knowledge.
A full role description is available here and more information about the team and the role is available here. Applications should be submitted by Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
An expression of interest should include a draft “season plan” for the candidate’s tenure and a cover letter introducing the candidate. The cover letter should list any relevant qualifications or experience and outline the candidate’s vision for the team. A good expression of interest will also address some points of the role description. If the candidate intends to bring specific assistants to their position, please also include a brief profile of each of these people. Candidates must also submit a police check for themselves and any assistants as part of their application.
Should an overseas based candidate express their interest, FNZ is eager to know how they would propose to work with New Zealand based players and how they plan to encourage the development of floorball in New Zealand in general.
Applications will be considered by a panel appointed by the Floorball New Zealand general committee. The panel will consider each application and may request an interview with specific candidates. The panel will refer a candidate to the general committee for final approval.
Please send expressions of interest and any further questions to national-teams@floorball.org.nz.
