Membership & Transfers
Membership in Floorball New Zealand enables clubs to participate in events and players to represent New Zealand in international tournaments.
Club membership with Floorball NZ entitles clubs to apply for loan equipment with Floorball NZ, host official tournaments, enter teams in the National Championships and be represented on the Floorball NZ committee (if elected).
Full player membership is required to participate in Floorball NZ competitive leagues, National Championships, overseas tournaments, and to represent New Zealand internationally. All player registrations are to be lodged via your local club. Check membership fees with your local club and make any payments through the club.
Types of membership
Floorball New Zealand offers the following club membership categories:
- Provisional Club membership (first 2 years), $150
- Full Club membership, $300
Floorball New Zealand offers the following player membership categories:
- Adult player membership, Full ($40)
- Adult player membership, Social* ($1)
- Junior player membership, for players under the age of 18 ($10)
All memberships are valid for one financial year. If a club registers a new player during the financial year then Floorball New Zealand does not require this player’s registration fee until they reregister for the next financial year.
*Social memberships are for registration purposes only and do not entitle players to the benfits of full membership.
Player Transfers
A player is entitled to apply for a transfer or a temporary transfer to another club. Temporary transfers aim to allow players to play in competitions where their ordinary club is unrepresented. Standard transfers allow players to change clubs permanently. Each player may apply for one free standard transfer per year, subsequent transfers require a payment of $40 to Floorball New Zealand. Temporary transfers are free.
