Floorball New Zealand (FNZ) has start our preparations for qualifying tournaments in late 2020 and early 2021 with the appointment of two expeirenced coaches.
Mens U19 team Coach
FNZ is excited to announce the reappointment of Christian Berstchinger as the Head Coach for the NZ Men's U19 Floorball Team for the 2021 WFC campaign. Christian has previously held the role and led the men's U19 team into the World Championships in Canada in 2019.
Christian is excited about the role. "The level of skill and game understanding has been constantly increasing with our young players and I am looking forward to another great U19 Men’s campaign. I hope to have a good mix of players with experience gained in Canada in 2019 and new young players eager to step up and make their debut on the international level" he says.
FNZ is equally excited to announce the reappointment of Sven Sundin to the position of Head Coach for the NZ Women's Floorball Team for the 2021 WFC campaign. Sven is carrying on in the role and led the women's team as they played their qualifying tournament in Thailand early in 2019.
Sven is equally exctied about the role. “I have thoroughly enjoyed working with development of NZ Women’s Floorball, and the NZ team has proven, in previous campaigns that we are catching up with our opponents. I truly believe that we have a great opportunity to qualify for the World Cup finals in Sweden 2021, and I look forward to see the team reach this important milestone.” he says.
The FNZ Board strongly believes that future campaigns will be fruitful as the player pool in New Zealand increases and continuity in leadership is fostered. Floorball New Zealand want to congratulate Christian and Sven on their re-appointment and look forward to working with them over the coming years.
